An affogato is an Italian espresso-based dessert beverage that you’ll find on the menu at many Italian restaurants and cafes. “Affogato al café” translates to “drowned in coffee,” and you’ll soon see why. Today, we’re going to be using premium Nespresso compatible capsules from HiLine Coffee to make an affogato.
To make this recipe, you’ll also need one scoop of vanilla ice cream or gelato. Start by placing one scoop of ice cream or gelato in a coffee cup. Next, insert a HiLine capsule into your Nespresso machine. Press the Espresso button to brew your espresso shot directly over the ice cream or gelato.
